What makes the All-on-4® treatment concept so revolutionary?
Additional Benefits of All-on-4®
The majority of patients at Stubbs Dental report a significant improvement in the overall quality of their life after treatment. Restoring the smile of someone who has long suffered from dental issues related to tooth loss has numerous benefits. Patients who choose this dental implant option can expect to experience several major benefits:
- Significantly enhanced self-confidence
- Major reduction in anxiety about the appearance of their teeth
- Greater convenience and less downtime since this procedure is completed in a single visit to the dental office
- Avoiding the messy adhesives and ill-fitting artificial teeth often associated with traditional dentures
- Enhanced stability and support for their denture thanks to the strong titanium base
- Halt the degeneration of bone tissue that accompanies long-term tooth loss
How does the All-on-4 method work?
Strategic Implant Placement
The All-on-4 technique relies on two vertically placed implants and two angled posts.
Replace an Entire Arch of Teeth
This dentistry procedure is designed to replace an entire dental arch of missing teeth, so an implant-supported denture is typically the best option for patients who have experienced widespread tooth loss. Patients with significant dental damage and decay that require multiple tooth extractions are also good candidates.
This permanent solution to tooth loss and dental damage has a positive impact on jaw health as well. Traditional non-surgical treatment options like dentures do not protect against jaw degeneration. By choosing dental implants, patients will gain an increase in jaw stability.
Our approach to dentistry also pairs exceptional customer service with high-quality procedures. We pay extra attention to the comfort of our patients. Our dental team is committed to improving your oral health, and the dentists at our Bountiful and Layton practice can restore full form and function to your smile.

Our Patient Results

The Initial Consultation
Our Bountiful and Layton dentists are committed to determining which procedure will provide maximum benefit for our patients. To find out if All-on-4®, or another procedure, is the best choice for you, your doctor will meet with you for a consultation. During this appointment, your doctor will review your medical and dental history, as well as your 2D and 3D x-ray images to check the viability of your teeth and gums for implant placement. We can also provide examples in a slideshow format and will encourage patients to ask questions to ensure they fully understand the details of the procedure.
Understanding Your Procedure
Using 3D x-ray technology, your doctor will carefully plan your procedure, locating the exact implant location that affords the greatest efficiency and least trauma. On the day of your procedure, you will be given an anesthetic to ensure your comfort. Some patients may be placed under general anesthesia by a certified anesthesiologist.
All-on-4® is a major advancement in dental implant technology, reducing healing times and allowing for immediate restoration placement.
Next, the doctor will extract any teeth that need to be removed and create small holes in the jawbone. Through these holes he will insert four or more implants. He will then attach a prosthesis, or temporary natural-looking denture, to the implants. You will leave our Bountiful or Layton office with a complete set of securely retained dentures that allow you to chew, speak, and smile with complete confidence.
What's So Great About All-on-4®?
Recovery Period and Final Results
While the All-on-4® technique represents a major advancement in dental implant technology, reducing healing times and allowing for immediate restoration placement, it is a surgery. Therefore, it is recommended that patients take one week off from work. Post-surgical pain is typically mild enough to be controlled with over-the-counter anti-inflammatory medications. Your doctor will closely monitor your healing, and you will return to our office about two to three weeks after your procedure for a follow-up appointment.
Four to six months after your implant placement, you will return to our Bountiful or Layton office to have impressions made for the reinforced hybrid prosthesis, or permanent dentures. Technicians from our partner lab will be present during this appointment to ensure your permanent denture is crafted with the highest level of quality. This denture will look as natural as the first, but will instead be a titanium-supported restoration that is designed to last decades, if not a lifetime.
