All-on-4 Dental Implants
If you are struggling with tooth loss or the limitations of a removable denture, you may be considering treatment with dental implants.
While not everyone qualifies for traditional implants, All-on-4® implant-supported dentures are an option for a wide range of patients.
Find out why the team at Stubbs Dental recommends All-on-4 dental implants for our patients in the greater Salt Lake Valley, UT, region.
The Advantages of All-on-4
Avoid Preparatory Procedures
Traditional dental implants are only successful when they are supported by dense jawbone tissue. Meanwhile, All-on-4 implants can be placed even if you have sustained jaw atrophy, allowing you to skip preparatory procedures like bone grafts and sinus lifts.
Save Money
The All-on-4 method only requires four implant posts to stabilize an entire denture. This is made possible by inserting the two rear implants at an angle, garnering more support with fewer posts. Since implants are priced individually, the fewer posts you need, the more you can save.
Get Results Faster
All-on-4 is a streamlined procedure tackling several steps of dental implant treatment in just a few appointments. Our dentists can secure a high-quality transition bridge the day after your implant surgery, quickly giving you a functional set of teeth.
Why All-on-4? A Better Method of Tooth Restoration
Tooth loss can negatively affect almost every aspect of your life, as well as your self-confidence. Even if you replace your teeth with a traditional denture, your dental function will not be the same.
Fortunately, our dentists offer a more functional and natural-feeling solution with implant-supported dentures. Dental implants anchor your prosthetic teeth to your bone tissue eliminating the mobility and discomfort associated with dentures. Now, thanks to the revolutionary All-on-4 technique, more patients than ever can enjoy the life-changing benefits of dental implants.

They got me in almost immediately. Dr Willardsen came in talk to me about my problem checked everything. Had his assistant take care of missing feeling in my implant. There was no charge for it. And I want to thank them for the pleasant experience, unlike other dentist's office I've been at.

Because of how they treated us today I went ahead and scheduled a cleaning for myself for this coming Thursday. Great Job to All!!!!!!!!!!

Alternative Treatment Options
The majority of patients at Stubbs Dental report a significant improvement in the overall quality of their life with implant-supported dentures. That is why we work so hard at finding innovative solutions to make treatment more accessible.
Zygomatic Implants
In addition to All-on-4, our dentists offer Zygomatic implants, a technique designed for patients with low bone density. Unlike traditional implants placed in the jaw, zygomatic implants are attached to the cheekbone (also known as the zygomatic bone). The cheekbone does not atrophy as the jawbone does after tooth loss, making it a stable location to secure upper arch dental implants.
Similar to All-on-4, the technique allows you to skip bone grafting, even if you have significant jaw recession. Zygomatic implant treatment is performed under full anesthesia to ensure your comfort.
Your Initial Consultation
Our Bountiful, Murray, Lehi, and Layton dentists are committed to determining which procedure will provide maximum benefit for our patients. To find out which tooth-replacement solution is best for your needs, we take the time to meet with you for a thorough initial consultation.
During this appointment, your dentist will review your medical and dental history, talk to you about your goals for treatment, and virtually create your new smile. We will also take precise 2D and 3D X-ray images to check the viability of your teeth and gums. Our goal is to clearly explain your options and answer all of your questions so you can make an informed decision about your treatment plan.
Is All-on-4 Affordable?
Since All-on-4 treatment eliminates the need for preparatory procedures and uses fewer implant posts, it is generally more affordable than traditional full-arch dental implants. That being said, it is still more expensive than getting a removable denture. While dental insurance does not typically cover All-on-4, Stubbs Dental offers treatment at approximately 20% of the cost of other Utah dentists saving you thousands.
We also give you flexible financing options to help keep treatment costs manageable. Many of our patients in the greater Salt Lake region finance through CareCredit® and make affordable monthly payments on their out-of-pocket expenses.

Our Costs Are Affordable Listen To Our Patient's Experiences
I just had my first visit at Stubbs Dental and was very impressed. I went to the wrong location by mistake and they were both understanding and accommodating - making sure that I was taken care of and had a chance to see the dentist. Everyone was very nice and willing to take the time to answer my questions and make sure I understood what they were talking about, from the front desk sign in to the costs for recommended procedures and everything in between. They went above and beyond.
View on GoogleRecently had my teeth cleaned at Stubbs. The hygienist was excellent. She was attentive, and while I hadn't had a cleaning in probably 5 years, my teeth have never been better. The dr. was extremely friendly, and BK helped me get the retainer that I have needed off for years. Every one at the Lehi office was extraordinary, and for $150 no insurance cost was worth every penny. Will be going back myself, and bringing my kids soon.

Recovery Period and Final Results
While the All-on-4 procedure is less invasive than traditional full-arch dental implants, you will still need some time to heal. We recommend taking at least one week off of work to rest and recover. Post-surgical pain is typically mild enough to be controlled with over-the-counter anti-inflammatory medications.
To closely monitor your healing, you will attend follow-up visits with your dentist, the first the day after surgery then 6-8 weeks after surgery. By this time, normal side effects like swelling, bleeding, and discomfort should be significantly improved.
Then in as little as 12 weeks after your implant placement, we will schedule you back to the office to place your permanent denture. Technicians from our partner lab will be present during this appointment to ensure the highest quality results. Since your permanent teeth are created with Zirconia, you can expect the prosthetic to last for decades.
