Monthly Donation - Patient Gerald Page
Each and every month Stubbs Dental donates the proceeds of all new patient exams to a deserving member or organization within our local communities. February's recipient is one of our patients, Gerald Page.
On December 4th, 2019 Gerald came home from work and sat down on the couch to unwind and watch TV. Gerald's wife, Jennifer, heard their dogs making strange noises so she went to the living room to see what was going on. She noticed the dogs were trying to get Gerald's attention when she then realized that Gerald was not responsive. She immediately called 911. While the paramedics were in route Jennifer had to move Gerald from the couch to the floor and perform CPR until the paramedics arrived about seven minutes after she placed the 911 call. While still at their home Gerald's heart had to be shocked twice and another two times on the way to the hospital.
The hospital induced Gerald into a coma for five days and performed a bypass surgery. They placed a pace maker and a defibrillator. After awaking he was sent to McKay-Dee Rehabilitation center for a short time.
After such a life changing scare, Gerald has received great news that his heart is now in excellent condition.
Stubbs Dental was able to donate $2,925 to help Gerald and his wife with medical expenses!
