April Donation: Chris & Sonja Scarlata
Our April 2021 donation goes out to Chris & Sonja Scarlata to help cover medical expenses and time off work. Nine year old Chris Scarlatta is currently recovering from his second open heart surgery. All throughout his spirits have been high and he has fearlessly tackeled every obstacle that has stood in his way, excited for his future.
My 9 year old grandson Christopher Scarlata is getting ready to go through open heart surgery. His parents moved their family to Utah in June 2020 to be closer to the Heart Specialist and Surgeons in Salt Lake City, Utah. When Christopher was 6 weeks old he had his first heart surgery and they knew eventually he would need another surgery. In the last 3 months a lot of things have changed and now open heart surgery is needed. He will be in the hospital from 5 to 12 days. They live 38 minutes away and will be staying in Salt Lake City. We are not sure how much the medical expenses and lodging are going to cost. And following surgery Sonja will be off work for 4 to 6 months to take care of Christopher. Please help take some of the worry off this loving family. Anything will be much appreciated. Thank you and have a blessed day.
