2021 Mid Year Donation Recap
Stubbs Dental has donated over $130,000 of charity and dental treatment towards our community in the first half of 2021! We've nearly surpassed our total donation amount for last year in our first 2 quarters, and we don't plan on slowing down! Today we’re going to recap all of our amazing donation recipients and relive some of our proudest moments of 2021!
Elizabeth Zavala
Liz was recently diagnosed with intraocular melanoma in her right eye. Stubbs Dental was able to donate $4,185 to help Liz cover medical expenses.

Alise Payne
Alise Payne was in a tragic car accident on January 10th, 2021. While in the passenger seat, her vehicle was struck head on by a driver who entered the highway going the wrong direction. Her long time boyfriend and lead surgeon at Stubbs Dental, Daniel Bostock, did not survive the accident. Our deepest condolences go out to the Bostock family for their tragic loss. Stubbs Dental was able to donate $4,350 to help Alise cover medical expenses.
Miss Utah Volunteer Organization
Stubbs Dental was able to donate $5,670 towards the Miss Utah Volunteer Organization, a group focused on empowering young women in our own communities through educational scholarships and extraordinary opportunities.
Chris & Sonja Scarlata
Stubbs Dental was able to donate $5,655 towards Chris & Sonja Scarlata to help cover medical expenses and time off work. Nine year old Chris Scarlatta is currently recovering from his second open heart surgery. All throughout his spirits have been high and he has fearlessly tackeled every obstacle that has stood in his way, excited for his future.
Sydnee
Stubbs Dental was able to donate $4,545 towards Sydnee Burnett-Fechter and her family to help cover medical expenses and time off work. Sydnee was recent diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma. Recently she saw an oncologist that further diagnosed how severe of a case she had and gave her a recommended treatment plan that began immediately.
Bear-O-Care
Stubbs Dental was able to donate $4,935 towards Bear-O-Care, who provide a community approach to caring for individuals with multiple disabilities by building on and supporting the existing strength of families and caregivers. Their vision entails strengthening families, creating future educators and facilitating change.
Teresa Allison
Teresa was the winner of our $45,000 Mother's Day Smile Makeover. Teresa has clearly had a profound effect on all those around her, and her kindness and willingness to help has improved the lives of everyone she touches.
Ryan Van Seters
Ryan "Dutch" Van Seters was the winner of our $45,000 father's Day Smile Makeover. Dutch received many heartfelt nominations from his friends, family, and colleagues outlining the amazing things he had done for his community, and the noble intentions behind his actions. He also raised over 100 signatures on a petition nominating him for our dental makeover, and before winning the giveaway had nearly $8,000 raised in a gofundme which he will now donate to others suffering from tooth loss.
Lynda Bottema/Kendall Harris
Our second place winner for our Mother's Day Smile Makeover Kendall Harris will receive $5,000 off her treatment and our third place winner Lynda Bottema will receive $2,500 off her treatment.
Kennon Cooper/George Nielson
Our second place winner for our Father's Day Smile Makeover George Nielson will receive $5,000 off treatment and our third place winner Kennon Cooper will receive $2,500 off treatment.
