September 2021 Donation: Syds Fight
Our September 2021 donation goes out to Sydnee Beus . On April 29th Sydnee was involved in a car accident when an 80,000 lb semi ran a red light and struck the side of her car. Sydnee suffered brain injuries, a broken pelvis, internal lacerations, a lower spine fracture, and severe damage to her eyes and face. After 8 weeks in a coma Sydnee finally woke up.
Sydnee slowly started waking up and it became clear to us the extent of her injuries and just what this accident caused her. Syd has to do an intense amoutt of multiple varieties of therapy over the last tho and a half months recovering from her traumatic brain injury. Sydnee has to re-learn how to do everything again from talking to eating, drinking, walking, and using her muscles again. The road ahead for Sydnee's recovery is exceptionally long. As you can imagine, the life and medical expenses adding up over these last 3 months have been a lot to add on top of an already overwhelming event.
We wish Sydnee all the luck in the world and hope her recovery is as swift as can be.
