2021 Stubbs Dental Donation Recap
Stubbs Dental has donated over $50,000 dollars to those in need, as well as just over $100,000 dental treatment towards our community in 2021! We've blown away our total donation amount for last year and even received City Weekly's "Best Company That Gives Back 2021 Today we re going to recap all of our amazing donation recipients and relive some of our proudest moments of 2021!
The Wahlen Family
Our December 2021 Donation goes out to the Wahlen Family, an amazing local family in our Layton community that is very deserving. Their two twins have been diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, and Stubbs Dental was able to donate $5,145 towards covering their medical bills and expenses during this difficult time.
Brandi Hobbs-Tanis
On Sunday, October 3rd Brandilyn "Brandi" Hobbs-Tanis developed a cough and fever, and on the 4th she came back with a positive covid 19 test. She has experienced severe symptoms that have been exacerbated by her preexisting immunodeficiencies. After nearly 2 weeks in the hospital on oxygen, feeding tubes, steroids, and much more she was finally able to go home, albeit with an oxygen machine. Stubbs Dental was able to donate $4,155 towards Brandi's medical bills.
Clearfield High Softball
The Clearfield High Softball team has been in desperate need of an entire new field for many years. Their scoreboard at is not working and is beyond repair. They currently use old plastic flip charts to keep score for the fans. Stubbs Dental was able to donate $4,185 towards improving their field and scoreboard! With this donation the students and fans of Clearfield High Softball can enjoy their favorite sport even more!
Syds Fight
Our September 2021 donation goes out to Sydnee Beus . On April 29th Sydnee was involved in a car accident when an 80,000 lb semi ran a red light and struck the side of her car. Sydnee suffered brain injuries, a broken pelvis, internal lacerations, a lower spine fracture, and severe damage to her eyes and face. After 8 weeks in a coma Sydnee finally woke up. Stubbs Dental was able to donate $4,170 towards Syd's fight.
The Mathis Family
Our August 2021 donation goes out to the Mathis family. In June their son, 8 year old Parley Mathis was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor. Stubbs Dental was able to donate $4,755 towards the Mathis family.
Stetson Snarr
Our July 2021 donation goes out to Stetson Snarr, who lost his left arm and suffered from a broken back after a critical car accident. Stubbs Dental was able to donate $4,125 towards Stetson's medical bills.
Bear-O-Care
Stubbs Dental was able to donate $4,935 towards Bear-O-Care, who provide a community approach to caring for individuals with multiple disabilities by building on and supporting the existing strength of families and caregivers. Their vision entails strengthening families, creating future educators and facilitating change.
Sydnee
Stubbs Dental was able to donate $4,545 towards Sydnee Burnett-Fechter and her family to help cover medical expenses and time off work. Sydnee was recent diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma. Recently she saw an oncologist that further diagnosed how severe of a case she had and gave her a recommended treatment plan that began immediately.
Chris & Sonja Scarlata
Stubbs Dental was able to donate $5,655 towards Chris & Sonja Scarlata to help cover medical expenses and time off work. Nine year old Chris Scarlatta is currently recovering from his second open heart surgery. All throughout his spirits have been high and he has fearlessly tackeled every obstacle that has stood in his way, excited for his future.
Miss Utah Volunteer Organization
Stubbs Dental was able to donate $5,670 towards the Miss Utah Volunteer Organization, a group focused on empowering young women in our own communities through educational scholarships and extraordinary opportunities.
Alise Payne
Alise Payne was in a tragic car accident on January 10th, 2021. While in the passenger seat, her vehicle was struck head on by a driver who entered the highway going the wrong direction. Her long time boyfriend and lead surgeon at Stubbs Dental, Daniel Bostock, did not survive the accident. Our deepest condolences go out to the Bostock family for their tragic loss. Stubbs Dental was able to donate $4,350 to help Alise cover medical expenses.
Elizabeth Zavala
Liz was recently diagnosed with intraocular melanoma in her right eye. Stubbs Dental was able to donate $4,185 to help Liz cover medical expenses.

Teresa Allison
Teresa was the winner of our $45,000 Mother's Day Smile Makeover. Teresa has clearly had a profound effect on all those around her, and her kindness and willingness to help has improved the lives of everyone she touches.
Ryan Van Seters
Ryan "Dutch" Van Seters was the winner of our $45,000 father's Day Smile Makeover. Dutch received many heartfelt nominations from his friends, family, and colleagues outlining the amazing things he had done for his community, and the noble intentions behind his actions. He also raised over 100 signatures on a petition nominating him for our dental makeover, and before winning the giveaway had nearly $8,000 raised in a gofundme which he will now donate to others suffering from tooth loss.
Lynda Bottema/Kendall Harris
Our second place winner for our Mother's Day Smile Makeover Kendall Harris will receive $5,000 off her treatment and our third place winner Lynda Bottema will receive $2,500 off her treatment.
Kennon Cooper/George Nielson
Our second place winner for our Father's Day Smile Makeover George Nielson will receive $5,000 off treatment and our third place winner Kennon Cooper will receive $2,500 off treatment.
