Dr. Stubbs Discusses The All-On-4® With Maria Shilaos: KSL News Radio
Our very own Dr. David Stubbs joined KSL News Radio's Maria Shilaos to discuss the All-on-4®! Watch above or read a short summary below!
Maria: Why would you need full mouth reconstruction?
Dr. Stubbs: Any reason ranging from pre-existing health issues to prescribed medications or genetics. Theres really whole slew of reasons you might come in.
Maria: What options do you have for full mouth reconstruction?
Dr. Stubbs: Our bread and butter is the All-on-4® also sometimes known as the all on X because it might require 5 or 6 implants. If you are already in dentures, have teeth are failing, have lost multiple teeth, are in pain, or have had multiple root canals we can replace a whole arch of teeth with a fixed implant. It's one procedure that takes one day, and will leave you with a new fixed dental implant that appears and functions like natural teeth.
Maria: Why is this the best option?
Dr. Stubbs: For a lor of these people they feel like their teeth are failing, they've been to dentists patching over and over again for a long time, and they're constantly worried about the next tooth that's going to break. Things a lot of oeple take for granted like bitiing into an apple, or corn on the cob they are just unable to do. After this procedure they have a permanant solution and no longer have to worry about that next tooth extraction or expensive surgery. They don't have to worry about what they can or cant't eat, they can smile. It eliminates uncertainty from their dental situation. Of course we have options if only a single tooth or two is failing, as a single dental implant is much more predictable than a failing tooth.
Maria: How does this procedure change lives?
Dr. Stubbs: I had a patient, a strong big guy, nice but stoic in his own way. When he first saw his new smile with his family there he was overcome with emotion and started crying. Its an emotional thing to finally get that smile back after years of struggling and searching.
Maria: Where can they learn more?
Dr. Stubbs: Visit stubbsdental.com and look around, we have photos and videos and lots of information on our options. At the end of the day we want our patients need to feel empowered, informed, and to make an educated decision based on their need and wants.
