Stubbs Dental 2022 Donation Recap
Stubbs Dental has donated over $50,000 dollars to those in need, as well as just over $100,000 in dental treatment towards our community in 2022! Today we're going to recap all of our amazing donation recipients and relive some of our proudest moments of the year!
January Donation: The Prisbey Famly
Amount Donated: $4,125
Our January donation goes out to the Prisbey family after the loss of Steven Mckay Prisbey, a beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend. Steven worked closely with the Stubbs Dental team as our Colegate representative and we will miss him dearly. Steven was an amazing business professional. He worked for Colgate-Palmolive for 15 years, and he loved his company, his co-workers, and the dental community he called on.
February 2022 Donation: The Hardman Family
Our February donation goes out to someone very close to us: Jovia and Shawn Hardman. Jovia is currently on leave from her position as our Scheduling Coordinator to take care of her husband and son. Shawn was recently diagnosed with a mysterious disease that has left him very weak and barely able to hold his young son.
March 2022 Donation The Refuge Utah
Our March 2022 donation goes out to The Refuge Utah, which has provided a safe, caring, and therapeutic environment to assist in the recovery of survivors of domestic violence, rape, sexual assault, and stalking for over 36 years. Their goal is to facilitate healing and to advocate for victims with the intent to decrease the incidence of such violence in the community. In 2020 alone, they secured over 12,411 emergency and transitional housing nights, answered 2,445 hotline calls, and provided 3,308 advocacy hours.
April 2022 Donation: Rob Rinaldo
Our April 2022 donation goes out to Rob Rinaldo, who suffers from Osteomyelitis and is in a tremendous amount of pain. Additionally, he has a hole in his jaw which is causing his roots to be exposed. Rob is a hard-working and honest man who has quickly gained the respect of all of those around him. With this donation, he will be able to afford a new All-On-4® and be free from the dental struggles and oral pain that have plagued him for years!
May 2022 Donation: Sleep in Heavenly Peace
Amount Donated: $4,920
Our May 2022 donation goes out to our local Sleep in Heavenly Peace chapter, an organization dedicated to providing beds to children that would otherwise be sleeping on couches, blankets, and even floors.
June 2022 Donation: Help Samantha Kick Cancer
Our June 2022 donation goes out to Samantha Corey, a 10th grader diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma Cancer, a type of cancer that affects the bones and muscles. She has been in the hospital many times in the last few months, but she has been able to do a few things like talk with friends and sit in the summer sunshine! Cancer is tough but Sam is tougher.
July 2022 Donation: Hill Air Force Ball
Our July 2022 donation goes out to the Hill Air Force Ball, an event celebrating the U.S. Air Force's 75th birthday, and honoring those who have served past and present.
September 2022 Donation: The Five.12 Foundation
Amount Donated: $3,435
Our September 2022 donation goes out to the Five12 foundation, which helps to feed hungry schoolchildren along the Wasatch Front over the weekends when school lunch may not be available. In 2022 they already donated over 50,000 backpacks full of food, which is over 1800 per week, to 50 participating schools!
November 2022 Donation: Salt Lake Rescue Mission Women's Center
Our November 2022 donation goes out to the Rescue Mission of Salt Lake, a faith-based nonprofit organization established in 1972 to help the homeless and Restore Broken Lives. Stubbs Dental directed our donation toward the Women's Center, a safe place where women and women with children can find safety from abusive relationships, and counseling for addiction.
2022 Mother's Day $45,000 New Smile Giveaway Winner: Shaylynn Gardner
Our 2022 Stubbs Dental $45,000 Mother's Day New Smile Giveaway has concluded! After reading hundreds of nominations and spending many hours learning about the wonderful mothers and women of Utah we have narrowed it down to one, and we are proud to announce Shaylynn Gardner as our winner!
2022 Father's Day $45,000 New Smile Giveaway Winner
Our 2022 Father's Day giveaway has come to a close! After spending many hours learning about all the wonderful fathers and father figures, and deliberating for quite some time we were able to decide on our winner! We are tremendously proud to announce Jesse Griffin will be taking home the first place prize and a beautiful new zirconia All-on-4®!
