Cutting-edge Diagnostic Tools
At Stubbs Dental, we provide our patients with the most efficient, high-quality dental care by using advanced technology to improve their entire experience. We use these tools to perform everything from preventative dentistry procedures to oral surgery.
Our dentists believe that outstanding patient care only exists in the presence of advanced dental technology.
Advanced technology can improve a patient's experience in many ways, such as providing more efficient care and accurate planning. Some of the advanced technology tools we use in the office include:
3D x-rays: These are digital images taken with a level of accuracy that cannot be beaten. These images allow the bone to be seen three-dimensionally for an added depth of field. This technology is used in dental implant procedures, both traditional and All-on-4®. These digital images allow our doctors to identify the optimal place for implant placement. They also help reduce recovery time and ensure the durability of the implant.
DIAGNOdent™: This cavity detection device is a revolutionary way to locate cavities. It is especially helpful for the pit and fissure areas of a tooth. The light emitted from the high-tech laser carefully inspects the teeth, offering digital measurements of changes to their structure. With this information, our doctors can more accurately detect decay, compared to traditional methods. This tool also provides a detailed picture of the extent of the decay, which aids in creating your treatment plan.
Intraoral cameras: These allow us to take photographs of your teeth and adjacent tissues, providing an image on the screen in a matter of seconds. This visual aid goes far in helping with patient education, allowing you to see the current state of your teeth in greater detail while giving you a better idea of how specific dental treatments can help. We use intraoral camera technology during all of our dental treatments.
Digital radiography: This represents a huge step in x-ray technology. By using digital sensors rather than traditional radiographic film, patients' exposure is about 80 percent less than with a conventional x-ray.

A Digitally Enhanced Office
For your comfort, we have overhead TVs in each room equipped with Netflix programming. We offer Pandora and headphones if you would rather listen to your favorite music. Whichever you prefer, these are great distraction tools, allowing you to relax and forget that you are at the dentist’s office. We want our patients to have a red carpet experience when they visit and our digitally enhanced office is a key component of that commitment.
