My visit was absolutely fantastic! Leah was great. She got me right back at my appointment time. Dr.Phillips was awesome too! They were gentle and caring and definitely knew what they were doing. The ladies up front were also very friendly. I will recommend Stubbs Dental to everyone I know! ❤️
View on GoogleHad an excellent experience today! My dental assistant Sahayla cleaned my teeth quickly and thoroughly, and the hygienist Darika did an awesome job on my whitening. Dr. Phillips checked me out and made sure I was all good. Least painful visit I've ever had in my life!

Missing Teeth
Are you embarrassed with the appearance of your smile due to the gaps left by missing teeth? Do you hide when it comes time to take a photo with friends or family? Besides having a significant impact on your self-esteem, living with tooth loss can cause issues including difficulty eating and speaking clearly. Fortunately, at Stubbs Dental, our maxillofacial surgeon can replace any number of missing teeth with a dental implant-supported restoration.
Bone Loss
Tooth loss, gum disease, smoking, and certain medical conditions such as osteoporosis can lead to weakened bone tissue in the jaw. Jawbone atrophy can alter your facial features, cause difficulty speaking and eating, and cause facial and jaw pain. Left untreated, bone loss can eventually lead to tooth loss. If you have suffered from significant bone loss in your jawbone, maxillofacial surgery can restore lost tissue with bone grafting.
Compromised Teeth
When wisdom teeth become impacted, they can cause a host of painful symptoms. In severe cases, an impacted tooth can lead to an infection that can compromise your overall health. Trauma and tooth decay can also weaken a tooth to the extent that the best option to improve your oral health is extraction. Whether it's impacted wisdom teeth or a tooth that is too far gone to save, extraction can provide relief.

I had a lack of self-confidence for a really long time because of my smile. I felt that whenever I would smile people always would look at my teeth so it made me not want to smile. Now I'm 31 years old I have that confidence that people have had for many years. Is it it's because of stubs Dental that I have this confidence in myself again. Than you Dr. K and your staff. Thank you.
View on GoogleGreat experience. I love the 'comfort menu' you have to choose from to make the experience even better. I watched a show on netflix while I had a neck pillow and at the end a hot wash cloth to clean my face. Love it! Dentists are profession, fun and very knowledgeable. Assistants were very help and made me feel comfortable.

Common Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeries
Tooth Extractions
Our dentists make every effort to save compromised teeth with treatments such as dental crowns and root canal therapy. However, when a tooth is severely compromised, an extraction may be the only solution to protect adjacent teeth and maintain your oral health. Wisdom teeth can also become impacted, necessitating the need for extraction.
Bone Grafting
Bone resorption is a natural side effect of tooth loss but it can make some patients ineligible for dental implants. Bone grafting surgery is most often used to improve your candidacy for implants if you have lived with missing teeth for a considerable amount of time. Bone grafting can also guard against bone loss when it is performed immediately following an extraction.
Sinus Lift
Your natural anatomy or significant bone loss can cause your maxillary sinuses to be too close to your upper jaw to safely support a dental implant. A sinus lift can reposition your sinus membrane and add bone tissue, restoring your candidacy for dental implant placement.
Dental Implants
At Stubbs Dental, serving all of Utah, our oral surgeons can perform every step to rejuvenate your smile with dental implants. Our comprehensive services include extracting failing teeth, performing bone grafts and sinus lifts, and placing dental implants. We can address any number of missing teeth with an implant-supported crown, bridge, or denture.
All-on-4®
Certain patients with complete tooth loss and compromised jaw bone density may not want to undergo the process of restoring their candidacy with bone grafting and sinus lifts. For those that qualify, All-on-4 can provide an implant-supported denture that is placed on four strategically located dental implant posts.
Zygomatic Dental Implants An Alternative to Bone Grafting
Some patients may benefit from implants, but have very low bone density, or have lost too much bone tissue for bone grafting. To avoid bone grafting and minimize recovery time, our oral surgeons may recommend zygomatic implants as an alternative.
Zygomatic implants are inserted into the zygomatic bone (cheekbone), rather than the jawbone, to provide support for upper bridge prosthetics. These implants can support a prosthetic immediately following placement.
If you have been told that you are not a candidate for traditional dental implants due to issues affecting your jawbone, contact one of our four locations in the northern Salt Lake Valley area.

View on GoogleDoes Oral Surgery Hurt?
Many patients believe certain dental procedures and oral surgery will be too painful for them. Patients who were initially afraid of coming to our office report the procedures are far more comfortable than they anticipated. Our oral surgeons will apply a local anesthetic, virtually eliminating pain at the treatment site.
Our Bountiful-headquartered practice also offers sedation options for patients who suffer from dental anxiety.
Types of Sedation
Sedation is administered by a licensed anesthesiologist at our Bountiful, UT, and Layton, UT, offices. We can combine local anesthesia with sedation to maximize your comfort under our care.
When necessary, we can provide general anesthesia, the deepest form of anesthesia, in which the patient is completely unconscious during treatment. We also provide three types of conscious sedation:
Oral Sedation
Oral sedation comes in the form of a pill that is taken before the surgery. Patients remain conscious during the procedure, but will not likely remember the procedure afterward. You'll need a ride to and from the office by a designated driver.
Nitrous Oxide
Also known as "laughing gas," nitrous oxide is the mildest form of conscious sedation. Patients are relaxed, but remain conscious. The effects of nitrous oxide wear off almost immediately, allowing you to safely drive home after the surgery.
IV Sedation
With IV sedation, the medication is delivered through a needle in the back of your hand through an IV drip. You will remain in a deep state of near-sleep that can be immediately adjusted as needed. You will need a friend or loved one to drive you to and from the office.
